The Sportsmen's Tavern is one of the most beloved venues in Buffalo for live music. All kinds of great musicians have played there, and it was hailed as the Honkiest Tonkiest Beer Joint in Town by Dale Watson, who should know. Thank you to Dwane and Denise Hall for opening the Sportsmen's back in 1985! It has evolved into a must-see destination!

Mary Kunz Goldman is an artist who lives in Buffalo, N.Y. She is the author of the book "Sketches of Buffalo." Mary is also a writer and is the author of "Pennario," a book about her experiences taking down the memoirs of the great Grammy-winning concert pianist Leonard Pennario. The book is scheduled to be published in 2024. An accomplished classical pianist herself, Mary has competed in the Van Cliburn Amateur Competition for Outstanding Amateurs. She is also a singer and can be heard most Sundays in the choirs of St. Louis Church and St. Anthony of Padua Church, where she sings for the Latin Mass.
